Advising a leading Spanish construction company on regulatory, real estate, corporate, financing and environmental matters associated with the largest waste-for-energy project in the CEE region. This mandate included legal advice on complex matters relating to the waste-to-energy facilities construction and operation and on a number of legal issues not tested on the Serbian market thus far. (project value: EUR 575 million)

Advising the world’s largest wind turbine manufacturer on the construction of wind parks in Serbia (mostly contractor-side aspects), regulatory regime governing the renewable energy sector in Serbia, drafting and reviewing the relevant agreements, including wind turbines construction and maintenance agreements, compliance with the Serbian regulations in various areas (real estate, regulatory, corporate, labour, etc.), as well as on other matters pertaining to real estate and renewable energy licensing.

Consortium of banks/lenders, - on the financing of a major wind farm project in Serbia, including on PP and full regulatory regime applicable to projects. This has included analysis and reporting on the PPA, inputs on Step-In Agreement and other direct agreements relevant for the project(s), feed-in-tariffs, grid connection matters, indexation of electricity prices, privileged power producer statuses as well as the provision of the legal due diligence and full-scope advice on multiple regulatory, real estate, corporate, project finance and other major legal issues (including complexities such as hedging agreement, facility agreement, EPC agreements). (project value: more than EUR 100 million)

Advising an international financial institution on many different assignments: (i) assisting the the Ministry of Mining and Energy of the Republic of Serbia in drafting the model of an energy supply contract as a piece of legislation; (ii) on the first street lighting PPP projects in several cities in Serbia, which included advice on all aspects of the PPP projects - structuring of the tender procedure, resolving proprietary issues with the state-owned energy incumbents and drafting of the PPP contract and related documents; (iii) on a PPP district heating project in one Serbian city; (iv) on the energy supply contracting involving three hospitals in Serbia. The legal services included advice on the structuring and drafting of tender documents needed for the PPP project for the supply of energy to hospitals in Serbia, as well as on the public procurement and PPP procedures themselves, etc.

Advising a German consultancy company on ESCO projects and public procurement matters in Serbia.

Advising one of the leading companies in the field of energy supply services in SE Europe on a number of PPP projects (mostly energy supply to public sector) where public procurement rules were applicable, including advisory on structuring of the tender documents and fulfilling conditions for the PPP project award.

Advising one of the largest energy suppliers in Europe in the procedure before the Serbian Energy Agency for obtaining the necessary licences and approvals for trading with electric energy and gas for their Serbian subsidiary. Providing legal advice and assistance to our long-standing client in relation to corporate, commercial and tax matters on a day-to-day basis.

Advising one of the biggest gold/copper miners in the world on the acquisition of a mine in Serbia. The advice focused on licensing, real estate matters, corporate matters, contracts and disputes, as well as merger control matters.

Advising the biggest boiler producer in Europe in connection with their potential engagement in the development and construction of Kovin thermal power plant with the installed capacity of up to 500 MW in Serbia. The overall project also includes the construction of a coal mine. This is the biggest private project of this kind in Serbia with the estimated value of EUR 1 billion.

Advising an international energy company on feed-in tariffs and potential risks of price reduction. The mandate also included advice on change of law risks in Serbia.
