CMS advises Lotus One Swiss AG on its investment in FC Schaffhausen AG

Lotus One Swiss AG has invested in FC Schaffhausen by subscribing to new shares and has become its main shareholder. The previous owner, Roland Klein, transferred all his shares to Silvan Hürlimann.

The investment agreement lays the foundation for a successful future for FC Schaffhausen, after brothers Fitim and Boletin Hasani succeeded in not only stabilising the club during a financially and structurally challenging phase, but also decisively repositioning it. The agreement now concluded represents a long-term vision: sustainable growth and sporting success, social responsibility and a solid financial basis.

Lotus One Swiss AG is closely affiliated with the Lotus Singapore Group, a globally active organisation with a philanthropic focus. 50% of the group's distributed profits go to a foundation for social projects.

A team from CMS led by Dr Daniel Jenny (Partner) and Florian Jung (Senior Associate, both Corporate/M&A) provided comprehensive legal and tax advice to Lotus One Swiss AG on its investment in FC Schaffhausen AG. Other team members included David Hürlimann (Partner, Tax), Jens Lehmann (Senior Associate, Tax), Jonas Weber (Associate, Tax), Thomas Zweifel (Partner, Real Estate), Philipp Koopmann (Attorney Trainee, Corporate/M&A and Tax) and Raphael Hammer (Attorney Trainee, Corporate/M&A).
