Francesca Scalco is a Senior Associate with the Employment & Pensions and Corporate & Commercial teams in Geneva.
Francesca advises corporate and private clients on all aspects of Swiss employment and labor law. Her experience spans individual employment law matters (including, among others, employment agreements, personnel regulations, compensation packages and stock option plans, secondments and non-compete clauses) and collective labor law matters (including, among others, occupational safety rules, staff leasing, (cross-border) transfers of undertakings, collective redundancies and social plans). Francesca is also experienced in conducting internal investigations and representing clients before authorities and courts. In addition, Francesca regularly assists corporate clients in the full range of employment and labor law issues stemming from M&A transactions and restructurings.
In parallel, Francesca also develops her practice in the area of data protection law (in particular, with a focus on building and assessing data protection frameworks, compliance requirements, and data breach responses, including mandatory reporting to authorities).
Francesca also advises clients on transactional and litigation commercial law matters.
Francesca holds law degrees from the University of Geneva and The Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID) and was admitted to the bar in 2020. Prior to joining CMS, she gained valuable experience working in the legal department of a global luxury conglomerate and as an associate in the Corporate/M&A department of another prominent business law firm.
