CMS advises Atlas Copco on acquisition of Schneider Druckluft GmbH

Stuttgart – Atlas Copco AB announced its decision to acquire Schneider Druckluft GmbH, a German designer and producer of professional compressed air solutions with a large network of retailers and specialist shops. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed in the third quarter of this year.

A CMS competition team under the lead of Dr Christian F. Haellmigk advised Atlas Copco, a leading provider of sustainable productivity solutions, on all antitrust aspects from the beginning of this transaction.

The Atlas Copco Group, based in Stockholm, Sweden, serves customers with compressors, vacuum solutions and air treatment systems, construction and mining equipment, power tools and assembly systems. Active in more than 180 countries with more than 43,000 employees, Atlas Copco had revenues in 2015 of 11 billion Euro.

Schneider Druckluft is based in Reutlingen near Stuttgart, Germany, and has about 110 employees. It also has offices in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It had revenues in 2015 of around 27 million Euro.
