Düsseldorf – Digital care start-up ucura, which offers innovative digital solutions for outpatient care under the name “DeinePflege”, has successfully closed its seven-digit Series A round of financing. The investment round was led by the Augsburg-based proSenio Group, a provider of aids for people in need of care. Together with Schülke & Mayer AG, proSenio has been part of the portfolio of Swedish private equity group EQT since last year. Existing investors Venpace, APX and a business angel also took part in the round.
The founders intend to use the funding to continue expanding the start-up, including developing the comprehensive care platform into a mobile application. In addition, ucura plans to continue building its partner network and to offer other (digital) services along the outpatient care journey.
A CMS team headed by lead partner Christopher Freiherr von Lilien-Waldau and Dr Nora Zabel advised ucura on all legal aspects of structuring and negotiating the round of financing. ucura and the founding team regularly rely on advice from the CMS team led by Düsseldorf -based partner von Lilien-Waldau. Recent examples include the previous financing rounds in 2020 and 2021.
