CMS Hasche Sigle advises on acquisition of Finkenholl Stahl by the Jacquet Group
Cologne – IMS group Holding Deutschland GmbH, part of France's Jacquet Group, has acquired 95% of the shares in Finkenholl Stahl-Service-Center GmbH in Bochum from the Koch family as owners. The terms of the agreement and purchase price were not disclosed. A company in the Jacquet Group also acquired the 42,000 square metre site of Finkenholl Stahl-Service-GmbH from a real estate company owned by Deutsche-Anlagen-Leasing GmbH, Mainz.
A team led by lead partner Dr Hendrik Schindler advised the Jacquet Group on all legal aspects of the acquisition of Finkenholl Stahl-Service-Center GmbH and the site.
Together with its subsidiaries, Jacquet Metal Service S.A. is one of Europe's leading companies for the distribution and processing of special metals. The company is listed on the Euronext exchange in Paris and generated group sales of some EUR 1.1 billion in the 2012 financial year. Established in 1857, Finkenholl can look back on a long history as a steel trading firm. Initially engaged in ore mining, it has focused on trading in special steels for over 60 years. The acquisition of Finkenholl enables the Jacquet Group to expand its presence in Germany, where its operations include Jacquet Deutschland GmbH, Essen, Stappert GmbH, Düsseldorf, and Hoselmann Stahl GmbH, Hanover.
