Alfonso Codes is Managing Partner at CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo, and also a partner in the Public Law and Regulated Sectors department at CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo. As a State Attorney on professional leave of absence, he boasts vast experience in all areas related to the public authorities when it comes to advisory and dispute resolution services. In particular, he has a proven track record in public affairs at the highest level having performed significant duties in this field.
On the regulatory side, his role as Secretary General (Technical) for the Ministry of Agriculture and Fishing, Food and the Environment is of note, in which he oversaw the Ministry's entire production and regulatory enactment, as well as its involvement in the creation and development of regulations for other ministries. In addition, Alfonso held several senior positions in the Spanish State Administration during his tenure as Secretary General (Technical).
Moreover, as a Government Lawyer, he has been involved in dispute resolution across all jurisdictions and stages of proceedings.
