He is particularly experienced in Real Estate, corporate and distribution law, as well as in obligations and contracts more generally. He also acts as an arbitrator and regularly advises on highly complex domestic and international arbitrations. In addition, he has been involved in some of the most significant restructuring and insolvency proceedings in the Spanish market, advising both debtors and creditors. His experience combines in‑depth technical knowledge of procedural law with a strong strategic approach to disputes.

Relevant experience

Álvaro has advised sector-leading companies on a wide range of matters, including an international group in the renewable energy sector in arbitration before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) relating to a dispute concerning the construction of a hydroelectric power plant, an Ecuadorian engineering company on arbitration before the ICC relating to a dispute concerning a contract for trading in energy and petrol, as well as a German engineering company on legal proceedings related to building a biomethanisation plant in Spain.
