CMS BFL advises Compagnie Optorg and CFAO

Cameroon: CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre counsel to Compagnie Optorg and CFAO on the transfer of their interest in Cometal to the Taf Investment Group

Compagnie Optorg subsidiary SHO Cameroun and CFAO have transferred their shareholdings and financial interests in the Cameroon company Cometal (metallurgy, sheet metal, metalwork assembly, bodywork) to the Taf Investment Group. This group, which is controlled by André Fotso, is already present in the industrial and commercial sectors in Central Africa through its FME-Gaz et 3T Cameroun operations.

This transaction is part of Compagnie Optorg's recentring of its operations on its core business in Motors and Equipment.

Compagnie Optorg and CFAO were advised in relation to law and tax matters by the firm of CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre with Pierre Marly (partner) and Bénédicte Bonnafous-Delmotte (associate) of the Africa Department
