After the acquisition of Oenoalliance by Castel in the Bordeaux region in 2008, Castel has extended its involvement in major wine regions of France with the acquisition of the family company Selles in Rhone Valley.
Selles is a negoce company created in 1974 by Jean and Cécile Selles and well-known in Rhone-Valley and Beaujolais areas for its technical and qualitative expertise in AOC wines.
Selles activity is complementary to Castel’s as it will increase the group’s development in own-label and private brands in France and abroad. Almost a year after the acquisition of Oenoalliance by Castel, one of the major wine producers in Bordeaux and own-label specialist in the Bordeaux area, Castel’s take over of Selles company will further its ownlabel wine range to satisfy all customers.
