CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre Africa is advising AfricInvest on an equity stake in the company Bridge West Africa, which is majority-owned by Teyliom Group.
The Pan-African private equity group AfricaInvest announced its investment in the capital of Bridge Group West Africa via two investment funds: AfricInvest Fund II LLC and AfricInvest Financial Sector Fund. Bridge Group West Africa, majority-owned by the Senegalese business man Yerim Sow, owns stakes in two commercial banks: Bridge Bank Côte d’Ivoire and Banque Nationale pour le Développement Economique of Senegal. This relationship will enable both groups to consolidate on their presence in Africa over the long term.
With six offices in Africa in Abidjan, Algiers, Casablanca, Lagos, Nairobi and Tunis, AfricInvest takes equity stakes in African SMEs, which are leaders in their respective markets.
Experience acquired by AfricInvest in the innovative financial services sector will be enhanced by the various business sectors in which Teyliom Group operates: real estate, industrials, energy, venture capital and hotels.
