On 1 January 2018, CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre will become CMS Francis Lefebvre Avocats.
Our subsidiaries in Lyon, Algiers and Casablanca will be named accordingly, with respect to their respective legal constraints.
Our current name comes from the advisory business which was set up by the Lefebvre family, the “Bureau d’Etudes Fiscales Francis Lefebvre” in 1925, along with the publishing and training businesses (Editions Francis Lefebvre and Francis Lefebvre Formation respectively). We then became “Bureau d’Etudes Fiscales et Juridiques Francis Lefebvre”, “Bureau Francis Lefebvre” and finally “CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre” in 2001.
This new name, CMS Francis Lefebvre Avocats, reflects the current reality of our firm. More than an advisory office, we are an international full services leading law firm and a major CMS stakeholder. This name change asserts our firm’s objectives: to guide, advise and defend our clients around the world, whatever their business challenges. We seek to be constantly more efficient, offering to our clients our approach: excellence in action.

As an example, our new E-compliance offer, in partnership with Editions Francis Lefebvre and Formation Francis Lefebvre has been recently introduced and will be effective as of 2018.
