The Douce Hydro group has consolidated its hydraulics business with the buy-out of RBDH Hydraulics of Saint-Martin en Haut (01). The sale was approved by the Commercial Court of Bourg en Bresse on 17 June. Founded in 1986 as VMF by Daniel Combe, the company manufactures hydraulic drilled blocks and in 2011 was taken over by RBDH. RBDH's problems led to the sell-off of its production plant, one of the last to go being RBDH Hydraulics. The Douce Hydro group will keep the business going on the same site with the loss of almost no jobs.

The Douce Hydro group, whose 2014 turnover was just over €50M, designs and manufactures hydraulic cylinders and systems, and manufactures seismic dampers. By taking over RBDH Hydraulics (2015 turnover €4.7M) the group is increasing its business and can now offer complementary products to its (95% export) clients.

Assisting the Douce Hydro group in the takeover was Carole Dessus, a CMS partner from its prevention/restructuring department in Lyon.
