CMS ranked 5th in the Mergermarket preliminary results for the first half of 2008.
With just four of the magic circle ahead of CMS in the rankings, we have jumped two places from 7th to 5th.
The ranking is based on deal volume, which confirms our status as being strong in the mid market deal range where we can complete more deals than the other top ranked firms. The league tables this half of 2008 included cross border collaboration on large transactions such as Gazprom (London and Moscow) as well as increased activity and therefore rankings in Germany, France, Spain and the Benelux region.
This is a great example of how increased collaboration across CMS can really make a difference to our positioning in the market.
