The European Commission has set up a group of experts on value-added tax to advise the Commission on the preparation and practical implementation of legislative acts and other policy initiatives in the field of VAT.
CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre is pleased to announce that the Commission has selected Elisabeth Ashworth, partner, as a member of this expert group and Corinne Reinbold, lawyer, as her alternate. They have both been appointed for a two-year renewable mandate.
The VAT Expert Group includes three other members from France, including a representative of one of France's two leading business federations, MEDEF. For her part, Elisabeth Ashworth was supported by the other business federation, AFEP.
