"International Asset Management Tax System" published by EFE Editions

The third edition of the book «Fiscalité internationale du patrimoine» published in the collection “Asset Management” at EFE Publishing House has just been published.


Intended as well to lawyers, notaries, asset management advisers, chartered accountants as to bankers specialised in private equity management, this work -a genuine practical and operational guide- presents a precise study of asset management tax system in Europe (France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Luxembourg and United Kingdom) and in the United States of America.

The reader will find out a specific enlightenment, illustrated by cases, on topical issues interesting practitioners, a display of tax treaties and their application as case law and doctrine.

This work also presents a critical analysis of the new French measures applied to fight against offshore operations.

As to the author: Philippe Juilhard is a lawyer and partner at CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre. Holder of a DESS of Common Market Law [University post-graduate professional degree] (1984) and of a DEA of English and American Business Law [University post-graduate research degree] (1985) at the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, he further qualified a Master in Law at the Georgetown University of Washington in 1988. He joined CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre in 1988 and has been co-director of Bureau Francis Lefebvre New-York office before becoming partner in 2001. Furthermore as head of Bureau Francis Lefebvre London office from 1994 till 1997, his practice area also covered International Tax Law. Member of the New-York Bar, he is a member of numerous professional associations (ACE, IACF and IFA).
