Launch of the 7th CMS Franco-German Prize
Authors
- Award for a research thesis focusing on legal or fiscal issues in a specifically Franco-German context
- Prize: €5,000 and the offer of an internship at CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre
- Deadline for submissions: 15 October 2011
Established jointly by CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre and CMS Hasche Sigle in 2005, the CMS Franco-German Prize is awarded to a Masters, doctoral or grande école student for a thesis or internship report on a legal or fiscal subject relating to the Franco-German context.
The principal selection criteria are:
- the quality and the pertinence of the analysis
- the quality of the research
- the quality of the comparative France-Germany methodology
- the degree of innovation and creativity demonstrated in the theses and internship reports
- the advocacy skills of the candidates
The competition alternates between France and Germany. The 7th competition is being held this year in France, with a jury consisting of:
- partners of CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre and CMS Hasche Sigle
- representatives of a French company with a presence in Germany
After the deliberations of the jury, which will convene at the end of November 2011, the student who wins 1st price will receive a sum of €5,000 and have the opportunity to undertake an internship at CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre.
How to enter
Candidates for the CMS Franco-German Prize must submit a dossier, before 15 October 2011, comprised of the following elements:
- the thesis or internship report in triplicate in printed version and also a copy by email to francois.hellio@cms-bfl.com,
- a synthesis of two pages maximum,
- a curriculum vitae,
- permission to publish the thesis or internship report, incorporating if applicable the modifications requested by CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre.
