Mr Olivier Dutheillet de Lamothe, former President of the Section Sociale of the French Conseil d’Etat, joins CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre

CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre is pleased to announce that Olivier Dutheillet de Lamothe, President of the Section Sociale (social security, health and employment) of the French Conseil d'Etat until 10 November last, has joined its Employment team.

A graduate of the Ecole nationale d'administration (ENA), he is a member of the Conseil d’Etat, was Head of Employment Relations at the French Ministry of Employment and Occupational Training (1987-1995), Advisor on social issues to the President of the Republic (1995-1997), and Deputy Secretary General to the President of the Republic (1997-2000).

He was a member of the French Constitutional Council from 2001 to 2010. In 2011, Olivier Dutheillet de Lamothe was appointed President of the Section Sociale of the Conseil d’Etat, the section providing legal advice to the French government on proposed legislation and Orders on social security, health and employment issues. He actively participated in the preparation of recent major bodies of legislation (employment security, pensions, occupational training, employment and social democracy).

Mr Olivier Dutheillet de Lamothe brings his expertise in employment relations and public law, as well as his experience as a constitutional and administrative judge to CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre.

As Of Counsel attorney, he will have responsibility for legal intelligence department in the Employment division, as well as scientific coordination and Knowledge Management.
