CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre’s Africa team acted as advisor to the logistics group Necotrans in relation to the acquisition of MCK (Mining Company Katanga), a specialist in logistics and civil engineering services for the mining sector in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
MCK, the leader in its sector, has 1,900 employees and a fleet of 500 trucks and earthmovers. It works with the largest mining companies in Katanga province, home to the largest reserve in the world of cobalt and the fourth largest of copper.
The Necotrans group, present in 31 countries in Africa, is a leading player in the continent's port and inland logistics activities.
This acquisition reflects the group's ambition to expand its range of services for industrial companies looking for tailored solutions to optimise their procurement, production and delivery chains.
For this transaction, the Necotrans group was advised by CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre’s Africa team, with Pierre Marly, partner.
