Jean-René Benichou joined CMS Francis Lefebvre in January 1987 and was made a partner in 2001.

He mainly advises French and international groups on their tax management (tax consolidation, intra-group relations, etc.), restructuring operations (mergers, partial asset contributions, spin-offs, etc.), tax audits and acquisition or LBO operations, structuring and arranging financing, negotiating tax approvals within a domestic or international framework, and providing assistance with tax audits and any subsequent litigation. He also specialises in environmental taxation and taxation of non-profit organisations.

Lawyer at the Hauts de Seine bar, he has a Masters Degree in Business Law, University of Paris V (1984), a Post-graduate degree (DESS) in Applied Taxation, University of Paris V (1986) and one in Management, Institute of Business Administration (IAE), University of Paris I (1986).

He regularly gives seminars in companies as part of Francis Lefebvre Formation's activities and has written several articles in specialised magazines, such as Option Finance.

Jean-René is a member of ACE (French Association of Corporate Legal Advisors) and of IACF (French Institute of Tax Lawyers).
