Xinyu Hu joined CMS Francis Lefebvre in 2018 and became a partner in 2024. He is head of the firm's China Desk.
He practices in Corporate/M&A with a focus on commercial companies, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and joint ventures. He advises Chinese investors and companies on complex cross-border investment projects.
He regularly assists Chinese companies and investors in their transactions in France and Europe. He has extensive experience in Chinese investment flows in France (takeovers of insolvent companies, negotiating French-Chinese joint ventures, monitoring property development projects, and company formation).
Xinyu Hu also advises on general legal issues facing Chinese companies setting up in France and coordinates the work of the firm’s other departments, particularly on matters relating to employment and labour law, corporate law, commercial contracts, litigation, international mobility, banking and finance, tax law, intellectual property, and commercial leases.
