CMS assisted Eni S.p.A. with the new joint venture relating to 14 oil and natural gas fields in Indonesia and Malaysia, alongside PETRONAS. This will see the two oil giants combine their activities in these countries for approximately 3 billion barrels of oil equivalent (BOE), with an additional exploration potential of around 10 billion BOE.
The CMS team was led by partner Tom Mallalieu and comprised Ziggy Gray, Beth Wheat, Charlie Denham, Sam White, Sophie Clayton, Stewart Watt, Jamie-Jean Hunter, Phil Reid, Jason Todd, Rebecca Stewart, Johanna Dodgson and Nicola Curry from the London office. Partner Massimo Trentino and senior associate Valerio Giuseppe Daniele from the firm's Italian office also participated.
