Investment Funds | 6-Month Legal Trainee
What we offer
Our Investment Funds team is currently looking for a 6-month Legal Trainee in Investment Funds.
This is an opportunity to join one of Luxembourg's leading Investment Funds practices and gain hands-on experience working on sophisticated international matters alongside highly regarded lawyers.
From day one, you will be considered a full member of the team and entrusted with meaningful responsibilities on live client matters.
As a Legal Trainee, you will:
- Work in a dynamic, international and entrepreneurial environment;
- Be trained and mentored by experienced associates, counsels and partners;
- Assist on a variety of investment fund matters for leading international asset managers, investment funds and financial institutions;
- Participate in the structuring, launch and ongoing operation of regulated and unregulated investment funds;
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal analyses on Luxembourg investment funds and regulatory matters;
- Assist in the drafting and review of fund documentation, legal memoranda and client deliverables;
- Participate in conference calls, client meetings and internal discussions;
- Support business development, know-how and knowledge management initiatives;
- Collaborate with lawyers from other practices and CMS offices on cross-border matters.
Beyond technical training, you will gain valuable insight into the investment funds industry, develop commercial awareness and build an international professional network from the early stages of your career.

Your profile
- You are currently pursuing or have completed a Master's degree in Law (Master 1, Master 2, LL.M. or equivalent);
- You have a strong interest in Investment Funds, Asset Management, Financial Services and Business Law;
- You are looking for a 6-month internship as part of your academic curriculum or professional training;
- You are fluent in English and French, both written and spoken; German would be considered an asset;
- You possess strong analytical, drafting and research skills;
- You are curious, rigorous and eager to learn in a demanding and intellectually stimulating environment;
- You are proactive, organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team;
- You are keen to develop your legal expertise within a leading international law firm.
