The role
Our Investment Funds practice is entering a new phase of development, with a strong focus on efficiency, scalability and innovation in legal service delivery. In this context, we are looking to recruit an AI Legal Project Officer to support the transformation of the way legal work is performed within the team.
This is a business-facing role working in close collaboration with lawyers of our Funds team as well as the Innovation team. You will support the implementation and adoption of AI-enabled solutions within the practice, acting as a key liaison between legal teams and innovation functions to help translate legal workflows into practical and scalable solutions integrated into day-to-day practice.
The objective is to:
- enhance the efficiency and quality of legal workflows;
- integrate AI into client-facing work;
- enable lawyers to use AI tools effectively and confidently.
You will operate in a demanding environment where technical understanding, business awareness and practical implementation capabilities are equally critical.
Your responsibilities
As an AI Legal Project Officer, you will play a central role in driving the use of AI and technology within the Investment Funds practice. You will, in particular:
Understanding & analysis
- Work closely with lawyers and the Innovation team to understand legal workflows, client expectations and operational constraints within the Investment Funds practice;
- Develop a strong understanding of the financial context and structure of funds-related transactions;
- Support the identification, mapping and analysis of legal processes to uncover efficiency gains and optimisation opportunities;
- Contribute to the assessment and prioritisation of innovation initiatives in collaboration with the Innovation team.
Solution design & deployment
- Support the Innovation Advisor in the deployment of innovative and AI-enabled workflows within the Funds team;
- Assist in translating legal needs and business requirements into practical AI solutions, including automation, knowledge management and drafting support tools;
- Coordinate with lawyers, Innovation, IT and external vendors during implementation projects;
- Participate in testing, user feedback collection and continuous improvement of deployed solutions;
- Help ensure that implemented solutions are practical, reliable and aligned with the needs of the legal teams.
Enablement & adoption
- Act as a key interface between lawyers, Innovation, IT and external providers;
- Support change management initiatives to facilitate the adoption of AI tools and innovative ways of working;
- Deliver practical guidance and day-to-day support to lawyers using AI-enabled solutions;
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of AI use cases, best practices and training materials;
- Collect feedback from users and help identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Governance & continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with data protection, confidentiality and regulatory requirements;
- Contribute to the continuous development of efficient, high-quality legal service delivery within the team.
Your profile
- Master’s degree in law, business, data or technology-related fields
- Experience in legal operations, innovation, AI or project-based environments, ideally within a law firm, consulting firm or professional services environment
- Strong interest in investment funds and financial markets
- Good understanding of AI tools (including generative AI) and a strong interest in their practical application within professional services environments
- Ability to analyse complex processes and translate them into structured, actionable solutions
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both legal and technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage projects and stakeholders effectively while working collaboratively across teams
- Analytical, pragmatic and solution-driven mindset
- Proactive, reliable and performance-oriented attitude
