The role 

Our Investment Funds practice is experiencing sustained growth, and we are looking to recruit an Associate (1-2 years' experience) to strengthen our team in Luxembourg.

You will join a high-performing team advising international clients on a broad range of investment fund structures and alternative investment strategies.

The role offers exposure to private equity, private debt, real estate and infrastructure funds, as well as the opportunity to work alongside colleagues from other practice areas on related transactions and structuring matters.

You will work closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers on sophisticated matters, benefiting from hands-on training, direct client exposure and a supportive environment designed to accelerate your professional development.

 

Your responsibilities

As an Associate, you will:

  • Assist in advising clients on Luxembourg investment funds and related regulatory matters
  • Support the structuring, launch and ongoing operation of investment vehicles
  • Draft, review and assist in the negotiation of fund documentation and related agreements
  • Conduct legal research and analyse regulatory developments
  • Participate in the preparation of legal memoranda and client advice
  • Attend client meetings and conference calls
  • Liaise with service providers, counterparties and, where required, regulatory authorities
  • Work closely with partners, senior lawyers and colleagues across practice groups on cross-border matters
  • Contribute to internal know-how and training initiatives
  • Support business development activities and client events

 

Your profile

  • Master's degree in Law (LL.M. or equivalent qualification is an asset)
  • Qualified lawyer with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in investment funds in Luxembourg
  • Good understanding of Luxembourg investment funds and related regulatory matters
  • Exposure to alternative investment fund structures, including private equity, private debt, real estate and infrastructure, is considered an asset
  • While experience with regulated funds is welcome (such as UCITS, ELTIF, Part II), the role is particularly suited to lawyers who have developed broad exposure to alternative investment funds
  • Excellent command of English; French and/or German would be considered a strong asset
  • Strong analytical and drafting skills
  • Pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player with a proactive attitude
  • Interest in innovative ways of working, including technology and AI
