The role
Our Investment Funds practice is experiencing sustained growth, and we are looking to recruit a Managing Associate to further strengthen our team in Luxembourg.
You will join a high-performing team advising leading international clients across a wide range of fund structures and asset classes, acting on both lead and local counsel mandates.
You will play a key role in handling complex matters, interacting directly with clients and contributing to the continued development of the practice, in an environment where technical excellence, commercial awareness and autonomy are essential.
Your responsibilities
As a Managing Associate, you will:
- Advise top-tier clients (asset managers, private equity houses, institutional investors) on Luxembourg investment funds structuring and related transactions
- Deliver pragmatic, high-quality advice on complex legal and regulatory matters
- Draft and review sophisticated legal documentation, including fund documentation and transaction-related agreements
- Review and analyse financial products and fund structures under Luxembourg law
- Be closely involved in structuring mandates, contributing to the design and implementation of tailored solutions
- Act as a trusted point of contact for clients on day-to-day matters
- Liaise with the Luxembourg authorities and regulators
- Work closely with partners and across practice groups on cross-border matters
- Supervise and mentor junior associates, contributing to their development
- Contribute to team know-how and internal efficiencies
- Support business development initiatives, including pitches and client relationships
You will work on diverse and often complex matters, requiring adaptability, sound judgement and a strong sense of ownership.
Your profile
- Master’s degree in Law (LL.M. or equivalent qualification is an asset)
- Qualified lawyer with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in investment funds in Luxembourg
- Strong technical expertise in funds structuring and regulatory matters
- Exposure to a broad range of fund structures (regulated and alternative) and asset classes is highly valued
- Excellent command of English; French and/or German would be considered a strong asset
- Ability to handle complex matters with autonomy and rigour
- Strong analytical skills combined with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with demanding clients and stakeholders
- Ability to quickly integrate and operate effectively in a high-performance environment
- Interest in innovative ways of working, including the use of technology and AI, as part of the evolution of legal practice
