- Advised an oil storage company on environmental issues in connection with its potential acquisitions in Turkiye (investment volume €270m+).
- Advised an international lighting system solutions producer on various environmental issues in Turkiye.
Construction and development
- Assisted a consortium of leading Chinese, Turkish and French infrastructure contractors on the construction of a new highway in Romania under a PPP structure.
- Advised hotel chain on its negotiations with prospective landlords to conclude hotel lease agreements for a building in a historical site and a historical building.
- Advised worldwide student housing management company on concluding agreements with respect to the development and management of student accommodation facilities to be established in Turkiye.
- Advised an international energy company on the construction and operation of an air separation unit which will be built under a “built – operate – own” model in the site of a major Turkish steel mill production facility.
Investment and disposal
- Advised Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund GIC Private Limited on its acquisition of a 21.4% stake in Turkish real estate company Rönesans Gayrimenkul Yatirim (Renaissance Real Estate Investments) for €250m.
- Advisied UK private equity firm on the acquisition of a major Turkish construction company, their first investment in Turkiye.
- Advised Amstar in connection with the sale of its 50% share in three shopping centres, totalling approximately 125,000m², in Turkiye to Ronesans Gayrimenkul Yatirim.
Managers and occupiers
- Advised a multilateral financial institution on the establishment of a branch office in Turkiye, including extensive negotiations with the property owner.
- Advised an Austrian hotel management group on the lease — of a large hotel in Turkiye, which they will refurbish and operate.
- Advised a US private equity fund and its Turkish JV partner in connection with the preparation of facility management and property management agreements.
Financing
- Advised a large infrastructure group on the financing, construction, operation and maintenance of a major Turkish highway.
- Advised a consortium of banks consisting of a leading German bank and two major Turkish banks in connection with the refinancing of a shopping mall in Istanbul.
- Assisted Denizbank AG and Ziraatbank with respect to the financing of the design and construction of two motorway projects by TAŞYAPI acting as the contractor in Serbia, by way of a loan extended to the Republic of Serbia.
