Gautier Barat is a Counsel in the Banking & Finance team.

Given his specific expertise in banking and financing law, he advises and assists financial institutions in all types of civil, commercial, criminal, regulatory (CERC, SICCFIN, CCAF) and cross-border litigation.

His practice also covers a wide spectrum of criminal and regulatory issues ranging from economic sanctions to the fight against corruption, money laundering and terrorist financing.

Moreover, he advises various economic players in cross border/complex recovery (protective and enforcement measures).

Prior to joining the firm in 2019, Gautier worked for 8 years at several business law firms in Paris and at the French Financial Markets Authority (“AMF - Autorité des Marchés Financiers”) as a senior legal officer in the Enforcement Division.
