Gautier Barat is a Counsel in the Banking & Finance team.

Given his specific expertise in banking and financing law, he advises and assists financial institutions in all types of civil, commercial, criminal, regulatory (CERC, AMSF, CCAF, APDP) and cross-border litigation.

His practice also covers a wide spectrum of criminal and regulatory issues ranging from economic sanctions (OFAC) to the fight against corruption, money laundering and terrorist financing.

Moreover, he advises various economic players in cross border/complex recovery (protective and enforcement measures).

Prior to joining the firm in 2019, Gautier worked for 8 years at several business law firms in Paris and at the French Financial Markets Authority (“AMF - Autorité des Marchés Financiers”) as a senior legal officer in the Enforcement Division.
