On 4 December 2019, the Monegasque National Assembly passed Bill No 994, amending Law No 1.383 of 2 August 2011 on the digital economy .
This Bill aims to promote the use of digital tools and trust services, not only for business purposes, but also to govern the relationships between the Administration and the citizens.
In particular, it introduces the concepts of « digital asset » and « token » into Monegasque law. It also regulates electronic evidence, the provision of cryptology services, and the use of « trust service providers » to ensure the security of information exchanged electronically.
