We are delighted to invite you to the last of our webinars for 2015. This time, we will be talking about he new EU Trade Secrets Directive and its implications for the business.
Trade secrets are valuable business assets to companies. However, digitalization and the globalization of markets present a threat of misappropriation and unfair competition for businesses and their clients.
Trade secrets are relatively weakly protected in almost all EU member states. This results in a predicament for holders of Trade Secrets, who have a difficult time enforcing their rights at a EU level.
As a result of this demand by the business, the EC has started working on a EU Directive for Trade Secrets. It is expected to enter into force in 2016. What do businesses have to keep in mind? How long will the implementation go on for? How many of the existing issues will this directive solve?
