During recent years the profession of project development has not become any easier for non-lawyers. The number of rules that the project developer comes up against has increased significantly, plus, partly influenced by the EU, those rules are becoming increasingly complicated. Actual practice has shown that people often do not have the basic knowledge about contract law and building regulations that is required.
In cooperation with the Vereniging van Nederlandse Projectontwikkeling Maatschappijen (The Association of Dutch Property Developers) (NEPROM) and the Instituut voor Bouwrecht (Dutch Institute for Construction Law) (IBR), we offer the essential basic knowledge of contract law and building regulations and you will gain an understanding of complex legal aspects. By the end of the course you will be able to place the subject matter against a better legal background and, at an early stage, be able to see whether or when in the process you need a lawyer, barrister, tax consultant or advisor.
For whom?
The course is intended for non-legally educated staff at project developers or construction firms, such as project managers, commercial managers, financial managers, marketing and rental staff, technical staff, etc. In addition to the employees of NEPROM members, participants from non-members, authorities and corporations are also welcome. That contributes to the mutual understanding and increases the participants’ network.
