CMS advises EW Group on increasing its shareholding Solynta to a majority stake

CMS has advised EW Group on increasing its shareholding Solynta to a majority stake. Solynta is a Dutch company active in potato breeding technology. The transaction provides Solynta with additional capital to support the further development of its breeding activities.

Solynta develops hybrid potato varieties and related technologies aimed at improving efficiency within the potato breeding process. The company is based in Wageningen and operates internationally. EW Group is a German family‑owned investment group with activities in the life sciences sector. 

The CMS team was led by Roman Tarlavski and further comprised Marcellina Rietvelt and Maarten Feenstra.
