CMS advised MIH Allegro on its acquisition of a controlling stake in Netretail Holding B.V., an online retailer in Central & Eastern Europe, from existing shareholders including Intel Capital and MCI Management.
MIH Allegro is a subsidiary of Naspers (JSE:NPN), a leading multinational media and e-commerce group. Naspers operates platforms that link users to media, e-commerce, advertising, content and means of communication.
Netretail and MIH Allegro are entering into a long-term partnership to build the next phase of growth in e-commerce in the CEE region.
CMS lawyers and support staff from five jurisdictions were involved in this transaction; namely Czech Republic, Hungary, The Netherlands, Poland and the UK.
