CMS appoints kandidaat-notaris Elisabeth von Meijenfeldt as counsel and advocaat Etiënne Courbois as partner effective 1 January 2024. With these appointments, CMS strengthens its Corporate/M&A and Banking & Finance practice groups, which is in line with its growth ambition that is focused on transactions and litigation.

Elisabeth von Meijenfeldt has been working at CMS in the Corporate/M&A practice group since 2015. She specialises in company law with a focus on international transactions. Von Meijenfeldt also advises on restructurings and cross-border mergers, demergers and conversions. She is also lecturer at the Law Firm School.
Etiënne Courbois has been working at CMS since 2020. He works within the Banking & Finance practice group and specialises in financing and securities and financial restructurings. Courbois advises national and international lenders and borrowers on debt structures. He also deals with sustainability regulation and its impact on financing transactions.
