CMS has advised Corendon on acquisition of operation of W Amsterdam

CMS has advised Corendon on the acquisition of the operation of the W Amsterdam, an iconic five‑star lifestyle hotel with 238 rooms and suites, located in the historic centre of Amsterdam near Dam Square.

Corendon has been appointed as the new operator of the hotel, which will continue to hold a leading position within Amsterdam’s lifestyle hotel market. The W Amsterdam will remain operated under Marriott’s globally recognised W brand. In due course, the hotel’s entire interior will be refurbished.

CMS advised Corendon on the structuring of the transaction and the conclusion of the agreement between Corendon and property owner Deka Immobilien.

The restaurants The Duchess, Mr Porter and The Butcher will continue to operate independently and will remain open to both hotel guests and external visitors.
