Louisa Engels has joined CMS in the Netherlands as a counsel on 1 March 2025. With her arrival, CMS aims to further grow and develop the Real Estate & Construction practice area group.
Engels is an experienced and recognised specialist in procurement and construction law. She is a regular sparring partner for awarding authorities, professional clients, and market parties. In recent years, Engels has focused on complex ICT projects, the replacement and renovation of Dutch infrastructure (Vervanging en Renovatie-opgave van de Nederlandse infrastructuur), public transport concessions and area developments.
Engels on her move: 'Procurement and construction law are uniquely impacted by the major challenges of our time: the housing shortage, the energy transition, and the replacement and renovation task of our infrastructure. I look forward to addressing these challenges legally, together with the talented and enthusiastic team at CMS.'
