Tom Jozak is an Of Counsel in our IP / TMC Practice Area Group. He brings over 25 years' experience in advising clients on various (legal) aspects of the use of technology and data. Prior to joining CMS, he served as the Chief Privacy Officer and Global Head of Data Protection and IT Legal at a leading financial services multinational.
Tom is an experienced leader and expert advisor on data protection and regulatory compliance with focus on enterprise risk management. Tom advises clients and C-suite members on intersection of law, technology and data and provides strategic guidance on required changes enabling improvement of data protection and regulatory compliance.
Tom is a strong negotiator and able to pragmatically advise about (IT) contracting and legal aspects of complex IT projects. His extensive IT and information security knowledge, combined with his expert legal and leadership skills, are widely acknowledged by many banks, financial services organisations, insurances and IT multinationals.
