Wout Olieslagers

Wout Olieslagers is counsel of the IT & Data Protection practice area group of our firm in Amsterdam. He is head of the Data Protection group in the Netherlands.

Wout advises clients on the full spectrum of digital regulation. He is a seasoned lawyer with extensive experience guiding clients through the implementation of complex digital laws, including the GDPR, NIS2, DORA, the Data Governance Act, the Data Act and the Artificial Intelligence.

Wout has much experience in advising on complex cybersecurity incidents and data breaches, cross border data governance and the implementation of new technologies. In addition, he frequently advises on regulatory strategy and engagement with Dutch and EU authorities and assists clients in legal proceedings.

In addition to his legal practice, Wout frequently lectures in digital law related topics, most recently on the implementation and responsible deployment of AI and other innovative technologies.
