Kerle advises on all EEA/EU law matters, particularly related to state aid, competition, financial markets regulation and the fundamental freedoms.
The basis for this advice are close to 15 years of diverse working experience. Kerle has worked for more than eight years in the EU Commission in DG Competition, dealing with state aid cases and policy, as well as merger control. He has also been involved in several legislative processes concerning the regulation of the post-crisis financial sector. Moreover, Kerle has experience from ESA where he worked in particular with state aid. Prior to that, he worked at the University of Linz as a research assistant at the Institute of European Law, teaching EU law and completing his doctoral thesis.
