Astrid López is an associate in the Mining, Natural Resources, and Sustainability area of CMS Grau, bringing over 10 years of experience in providing comprehensive advisory services and specialised support in environmental compliance within the mining sector. She is renowned for her extensive knowledge of administrative and environmental matters, as well as her solid expertise in the procedures for obtaining environmental permits within the mining industry.

Astrid has held significant roles in major public entities with jurisdiction over the mining sector, such as OEFA and SENACE. Additionally, she has experience in managing disputes and providing legal representation in environmental conflicts, securing enabling titles, and reviewing specific regulatory projects related to the mining sector.

Astrid holds a master’s degree in Administrative Law and Market Regulation from the University of Piura (UDEP), with theses graded with honours. She has completed specialised studies at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru, the University of the Pacific, and the Environmental Assessment Service (SEA) of Chile. Furthermore, she is the author of various academic articles in her field of expertise.
