Jamileth Valera is an Associate in the Infrastructure and Projects practice at CMS Grau. Her work focuses on the management and development of public and private infrastructure projects, with an emphasis on contract management and the resolution of disputes arising during project execution.
Her experience includes advising construction companies and concessionaires on public works, Government-to-Government schemes and concession projects across the transport, water, energy, health, education and urban infrastructure sectors. She has experience in administering and analysing engineering, construction and EPC contracts, as well as standardised FIDIC and NEC contract models.
She has been part of teams responsible for handling arbitration proceedings related to extensions of time, variations, land availability, penalties, loss of productivity and latent defects, as well as submissions before Dispute Adjudication Boards and Dispute Resolution Boards.
Jamileth holds a Law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, where she graduated Suma Cum Laude. She has completed specialised studies in administrative law and in NEC and FIDIC contracts, strengthening her practice focused on contract management for infrastructure projects.
