CMS advises TAURON on preparing loan documentation from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan
CMS has advised TAURON Polska Energia S.A. (TAURON) on securing PLN 310m in financing from Poland’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (KPO) for the modernisation and digitisation of energy infrastructure.
TAURON is the first entity in Poland to obtain funds from the National Recovery Plan for the digitisation of power grids, setting a new standard for the energy sector in the country.
The investment is part of a broader energy transition strategy being implemented in Poland and aims to support the development of renewable energy sources, integrate new technologies and achieve climate and environmental goals.
The CMS team provided comprehensive legal support covering the preparation and negotiation of financial documentation as well as corporate advice. CMS worked closely with all participants in the process, including Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, to ensure compliance of the documentation with the National Recovery and Resilience Plan’s requirements, as well as the legal security of the entire transaction.
