Evgeniy Vazhynskiy is a senior associate in the Banking and Finance practice at CMS Cameron McKenna (English Desk).

He is experienced in banking and finance law.

Evgeniy practiced law with local and international law firms and financial institutions for more than 12 years.

Before joining CMS, he worked with Redcliffe Partners LLC (former Clifford Chance, Kyiv office) and UniCredit Bank, focusing on complex international banking and finance transactions, including syndicated loans, pre-export finance, corporate finance and project finance.

He was recommended for Banking and Finance law by Best Lawyers 2021 and recognised as a Rising Star in Banking, finance and capital markets by The Legal 500 EMEA 2020.

  • FMO on an up to USD 100,000,000 unsecured term loan to Hamkorbank JSCB, a leading Uzbekistan bank.
  • IFC on an up to USD 70,000,000 term secured loan to Çimsa Çimento San. ve Tic. A.Ş., a major building materials producer, aimed at decarbonisation of its production facilities.
  • EBRD and the United States International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), on the USD 480,000,000 bond refinancing provided together with the International Finance Corporation to MHP Group, a major agricultural holding in Ukraine.
  • EBRD on a EUR 22,000,000 loan to Farmak Group Limited and JSC Farmak, a major pharmaceutical holding in Ukraine. The loan facilitated the acquisition by Farmak Group Limited of Symphar Sp. z o.o., a Polish pharmaceutical company, and upgrade of JSC Farmak information technology systems.
  • EBRD on an up to USD 100m revolving loan to MHP Food Trading LLC, one of the largest producers and exporters of chickens in Ukraine. MHP will use these funds to maintain the production and export of essential agricultural commodities.
  • J.P. Morgan as lead manager and the noteholders in connection with USD 350m senior secured green notes due in 2029 to be issued to finance the construction and development of a 337.5 MW wind farm located in the Zaporizhia region, Ukraine, with a potential increase to 792 MW.
  • UniCredit Bank Austrian AG and ING Bank N.V. on a pre-export revolving facility of up to USD 200m to the Kernel Group, one of the largest agricultural holdings in Ukraine.
  • A syndicate of European banks, led by ING Bank N.V. and UniCredit, on pre-export financing of up to USD 500m to the Donetsksteel Group aimed at refinancing the existing debt of the Donetsksteel Group.
  • Natixis on a pre-export revolving facility of up to USD 100,000,000 to Kernel Group.
  • Citibank and DEG on the restructuring of a secured term facility of up to USD 88,260,000 extended to Rubizhne Cardboard & Package Mill.
  • EBRD and EIB on up to EUR 82,360,000 co-financing to Ukrainian State Air Traffic Service Enterprise for the modernisation of the Ukrainian air traffic management system.
