Konrad Rominkiewicz is an attorney-at-law and a Senior Associate in the Transactions and Corporate Law Department at CMS. He specialises in transactional, corporate and commercial advisory work.

He has many years of experience advising on transactions for investors (in particular private equity and venture capital funds) as well as company founders, with a particular focus on the technology, media and telecommunications sector. He also advises on technology commercialisation, know-how protection and the transfer of intellectual property rights in the context of transactions.

Prior to joining CMS, Konrad gained experience at law firms in Poland (including Clifford Chance and DMS) as well as at Simpson Grierson in New Zealand. He also worked as an in-house lawyer at a media group, where he was responsible for implementing a streaming project in Central Europe.

  • Grupa Azoty S.A. and Grupa Azoty Police S.A. on the PLN 1.183bn sale of all shares in Grupa Azoty Polyolefins S.A. to Orlen S.A.
  • a group of private Polish investors on an investment relating to the establishment of a venture capital fund focused on investments across Central Europe and the Baltic states.
  • Fidera Vecta Limited on a EUR 47.5m capital injection into Resi Capital (Cavatina Group) to support the further development of its residential platform, including financing the acquisition of land banks for new projects, together with the acquisition of a 30% equity stake in the company.
  • Fidera Vecta Limited on the establishment of a joint venture with a Cavatina Group company, focused on the redevelopment and revitalisation of the former Galeria Malta site in Poznań.
  • CRIMSON (an edtech company) and its founder on a Series D funding round of USD 50m led by institutional investors
  • On the establishment of a joint venture between two telecommunications/communications sector entities to build and operate New Zealand’s nationwide public safety communications network.
  • Nice S.p.A. (a company listed on the Italian stock exchange) on the acquisition of the Polish company Fibaro Group and its subsidiaries (including in the US), a provider of a wireless, modular smart home ecosystem.
  • A consortium of private equity funds on the acquisition of Allegro.pl and Ceneo.pl and the related intellectual property rights from Naspers.
  • Mid Europa Partners on the acquisition of the Hortex Group.
  • Cinven on the fund’s investment in the RTB House Group.
  • Mid Europa Partners and the Hortex Group on the acquisition of Jurajska (a mineral water producer).
  • DaVita on the acquisition of 47 dialysis centres in Poland, including a clinical trial centre.
  • Zendesk, a California-based software company headquartered in San Francisco, on the execution of transaction documentation for the acquisition of Future Simple, Inc., the developer of Base, a system largely built by developers employed in Poland.
