Krzysztof Schulz is a Polish-qualified attorney-at-law and a Senior Associate in the Banking and Finance Department at CMS.
Krzysztof has a Ph.D. in banking law and specialises in financial transactions, banking and financial law, as well as transactional aspects of civil and commercial law. He advises clients since 2015.
He has an extensive experience in advising Polish and foreign banks, and investment funds. Krzysztof has worked for banks and bank syndicates, as well as borrowers on project finance, acquisition finance and on financing and refinancing of renewable energy and real estate projects. He has also advised large energy companies, e.g. by leading a team of lawyers on financing for the amount of PLN 10 billion. Krzysztof also has experience in the processes of selling debt portfolios to securitisation funds, as well as in investment agreements for the formation of alternative investment funds.
Krzysztof prepares comprehensive financing documentation, including facility credit agreements in the LMA standard, legal opinions and memoranda in the field of banking and financial law (including regulatory aspects and AML), he carries out due diligence. He is a Lecturer of Law at WSB School of Banking and conducts seminars on credit documentation with particular emphasis on credit agreements and collateral documentation. Krzysztof is an author of publications on banking and financial law.
Before joining CMS he was associated with Bird & Bird (2 years) and Czabański & Gałuszyński (3 years).
