Krzysztof Schulz is a Polish-qualified attorney-at-law and a Senior Associate in the Banking and Finance Department at CMS.

Krzysztof has a Ph.D. in banking law and specialises in financial transactions, banking and financial law, as well as transactional aspects of civil and commercial law. He advises clients since 2015.

He has an extensive experience in advising Polish and foreign banks, and investment funds. Krzysztof has worked for banks and bank syndicates, as well as borrowers on project finance, acquisition finance and on financing and refinancing of renewable energy and real estate projects. He has also advised large energy companies, e.g. by leading a team of lawyers on financing for the amount of PLN 10 billion. Krzysztof also has experience in the processes of selling debt portfolios to securitisation funds, as well as in investment agreements for the formation of alternative investment funds.

Krzysztof prepares comprehensive financing documentation, including facility credit agreements in the LMA standard, legal opinions and memoranda in the field of banking and financial law (including regulatory aspects and AML), he carries out due diligence. He is a Lecturer of Law at WSB School of Banking and conducts seminars on credit documentation with particular emphasis on credit agreements and collateral documentation. Krzysztof is an author of publications on banking and financial law.

Before joining CMS he was associated with Bird & Bird (2 years) and Czabański & Gałuszyński (3 years).

mBank S.A. on the financing of numerous photovoltaic farms in Poland belonging to the Danish company Nordic Solar.
Obton A/S and its group companies on financing the acquisition of 51 photovoltaic farms in Poland of a total capacity of 46 MW.
PGNiG S.A. on PLN 10 billion finanicing granted by a consortium of nine banks comprising: Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, Bank Pekao, BNP Paribas Bank Polska, Caixa Bank Oddział w Polsce, ING Bank Śląski, Intesa Sanpaolo Oddział w Polsce, PKO Bank Polski, Santander Bank Polska and Société Générale.
Acteeum Group and Equilis on EUR 21 million financing of Galeria Chelm from a major Polish bank.
Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A. on a sale of debt portfolios with a total nominal value exceeding PLN 76.5 million to securitization funds.
PFR Ventures Sp. z o.o. on the negotiations of the PLN 71.6 million investment agreement with the Biomed Innovations fund in alternative investment company form (ASI).
YAWAL S.A. and Final S.A. on financing by Santander Bank Polska S.A. and mBank S.A. with a syndicated loan of over PLN 90 million.
Alior Bank S.A. on change of the conditions of financing of IBB Hotel Dlugi Targ in Gdansk and conversion of the loan.
Darby Private Equity a member of the investment group Franklin Templeton Investments on a buyout of bonds issued by Unilink S.A.
Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen Girozentrale (Helaba) as consortium agent on EUR 44 million financing of PAS Group.
A consortium of two banks – Powszechna Kasa Oszczędności Bank Polski S.A. and Credit Agricole Bank Polska S.A. on PLN 100 million financing of Pamapol Group companies.
