Wojciech Szopiński, a Polish-qualified attorney-at-law, is a senior associate in the Environment Law Practice, within the Energy and Infrastructure Department at CMS Poland.

He specialises in supporting companies from the energy and infrastructure sector. He advises on a wide range of issues concerning Polish and EU energy and environmental law, including regulatory and contractual issues, transactions, financing, project development, as well as litigation. 

His experience in particular involves advising on permitting, environmental impact assessments, construction and spatial planning and project development with respect to renewables, conventional energy and infrastructure projects. He advises on energy and environmental matters, as well as civil and corporate law, particularly in the area of M&A and ongoing corporate advice. He also handles climate change (EU ETS), ESG, waste and water management and soil and groundwater contamination.
He is experienced in dealing with local and governmental authorities, non-governmental organisations, local communities and administrative courts, in particular regarding permit-related litigation. 

His experience includes advising on the development of renewable energy investments (onshore and offshore), projects related to the development of transmission and power grids (onshore and offshore), large-scale industrial projects (including chemical and manufacturing installations) and new power units (including gas-steam and coal-fired units).
