We advise our Clients, from multinationals to startups, in all sectors and areas of law related to Sustainability in defining climate change strategies in the context of climate change, ESG due diligence, corporate digital responsibility, sustainable supply chains, whistleblowing and green real estate financing.
CMS has an integrated and multidisciplinary approach that allows us to anticipate and understand different issues and develop innovative solutions for our Clients. Our specialised teams identify risks and threats while seizing opportunities arising from the increasing focus on our Clients’ Sustainability strategies.
Responsible business
Responsible business conduct is central to CMS. That is why, as part of the CMS 2025 Global strategy, we are now signatories to the United Nations Global Compact and active members of the Business Council for Sustainable Development (BCSD Portugal). We are committed to fulfilling our corporate responsibilities in four areas: Human Rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
Voluntary associations:
We actively support various non-profit institutions and local social causes. Through volunteering, fundraising and pro-bono work, we aim to create an impact on society. We support Médecins Sans Frontières in their mission to provide medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters or exclusion from healthcare. Giving back to the society and preserving the environment are important pillars of our business strategy.
