Simone Brauchbar Birkhäuser advises and represents undertakings from all industry sectors as well as service providers in connection with the acquisition, the maintenance and the enforcement of intellectual property rights, especially trademarks and designs. Thereby, she supports her clients also regarding the drafting and the enforcement of contracts for the transfer of intellectual property rights, especially license agreements. A further focus of her activity is unfair competition law and advertisement law. She regularly handles all due diligences relevant aspects of IP/IT and data protection in corporate transactions.

Simone Brauchbar Birkhäuser has been admitted to the bar in 1996 and has since been working for different patent attorney and law firms in Basel and Zurich. She publishes regularly in the field of trademark and unfair competition law and lectures since 2003 at the MAS Marketing and Management of the University of Basel.

Based on her long-standing and wide experience Simone Brauchbar Birkhäuser is able to rapidly acquire an overview of the current IP situation of her clients and to develop together with them an individual and sustainable strategy for the maintenance and the further development of the protection of their immaterial goods.

Simone Brauchbar Birkhäuser is married and mother of two children.
