Hun­gary 17 April 2018 Com­ply­ing with its ob­lig­a­tions un­der Dir­ect­ive 2014/14/EU, Hun­gary has in­tro­duced elec­tron­ic com­mu­nic­a­tion in pub­lic pro­cure­ment pro­ced­ures. From 15 April 2018, con­tract­ing au­thor­it­ies fall­ing un­der the Pub­lic Pro­cure­ment Act ("PPA").

Hun­gary’s Data Pro­tec­tion Au­thor­ity (NAIH) re­cently im­posed a fine of HUF 15 mil­lion (EUR 50,000) on a ma­jor hy­per­mar­ket op­er­at­or with 6,535 em­ploy­ees for a data pro­tec­tion vi­ol­a­tion in con­nec­tion with its CCTV op­er­a­tions.
