Veronika Kovács is a senior associate in the Commercial Team at CMS Budapest.

She has in-depth experience in commercial law, including general commercial agreements, advertising, sponsorship and marketing, outsourcing, distribution and franchise agreements and commercial regulatory matters.

Veronika also advises bidders on public procurement projects, from the pre-tender engagement phase to the remedy procedures, including centralised procurements. 

Veronika regularly advises life sciences and healthcare clients on public procurement matters. She also advises on other areas of commercial and life sciences and healthcare law, and supports the work of our CEE German Desk.

Veronika Kovács is a senior associate in the Commercial Team at CMS Budapest. Veronika specialises in Life Sciences & Healthcare. She supports the CMS Life Sciences & Healthcare Asia-Pacific Network (LAN) as a liaison for Hungary.

She has been involved in a wide range of lifesciences regulatory matters including clinical trials, medical devices and medical aids, as well as matters on the distribution, marketing and advertising of medicinal products.

Latest changes in Hun­gari­an pub­lic pro­cure­ment law for year-end
Hun­gari­an law­makers re­cently passed an act, which amended Act CXLIII of 2015 on Pub­lic Pro­cure­ment. Most of the changes in the amend­ment law con­cern the im­ple­ment­a­tion of the elec­tron­ic pro­cure­ment sys­tem (EKR), which went in­to force on 15 April 2018.

Hun­gary 17 April 2018 Com­ply­ing with its ob­lig­a­tions un­der Dir­ect­ive 2014/14/EU, Hun­gary has in­tro­duced elec­tron­ic com­mu­nic­a­tion in pub­lic pro­cure­ment pro­ced­ures. From 15 April 2018, con­tract­ing au­thor­it­ies fall­ing un­der the Pub­lic Pro­cure­ment Act ("PPA").

Uni­form clin­ic­al tri­al agree­ment tem­plate in Hun­gary
The Hun­gari­an Sec­ret­ary of State for Health re­cently an­nounced that start­ing in au­tumn 2016 a uni­form con­tract tem­plate is­sued by the Na­tion­al Health­care Ser­vices Centre (ÁEEK) must or should be used for clin­ic­al tri­als con­duc­ted in Hun­gary.
